This is the place to go for big over stuffed sammy’s. No frills here, just simple, tasty, and affordable sandwiches. I wish I lived closer, so I could go more often. I was there for their Thursday night beer tap takeover where they pair beers with cheese from Cheese Galore & More.
Despite the generous cheese portions, we also grabbed a couple of sandwiches. I had been craving chicken salad so I opted for that on a toasted kaiser roll. Classic with huge chunks of chicken mixed with celery for a little crunch. It hit the spot for me and in fact filled my belly – they don’t joke when they say over stuffed.
I also had a bite of the Reuben on Rye with mustard. This sammich is HUGE. The corned beef is great for this reuben; it’s not overly salty. This is a good sandwich. Tart and tangy sauerkraut, add the cheese, mustard and grilled rye and you have a heck of a meal.
Yeah, I have had a better reuben. I must say it isn’t the Baltimore staple that Attman’s is, but it doesn’t matter. The ladies behind the counter are so friendly and nice and you don’t wait at all – our sandwiches were ready before we had time to put the menu down.
