Oh Frazier’s! You have been a staple on the Avenue and have some of the best bar food.
If you haven’t been here for happy hour on a weekday, you might have missed Jeopardy. This is one of my favorite things about this bar. They turn all the music off and turn the sound up and everyone plays jeopardy – calling out answers and winning shots for correct daily double answers.
Morgan and Ray have been making drinks here for about as long as I can remember. I generally stick to simple vodka and soda with a splash of cranberry – even though I often think vodka is stupid. And when you have a few of those, you definitely need some classic bar food.
The cheese fries are crispy and smothered in melty cheese and bacon. Do I really need to describe it to you or do you just want to stare a little longer at the plate… Watch out for drooling…
My other favorite snack at Frazier’s is the crab dip. It’s thick and creamy, full of crab and melty cheesy goodness an served with these pitas. I like it when the dip comes straight from the broiler in ceramic or cast iron; there is a gorgeous bubbly crust on top adding anticipation to each bite.
I’ve known these guys for so long – I love now that Morgan and his brother own this bar. Come see Morgan on Thursday’s and Fridays.
