Max’s Taphouse

I am a fan of this place for football games on Sundays.  There are tons of TVs and usually at least on other fellow sports fan rooting for a team that isn’t the local one.  I am not clear on how they decide what sound to play;  I have only ever heard music.  If you like beer, you should be a huge fan of Max’s, and if you go on a Sunday, or weeknight for that matter, you don’t have to wait too long to speak to a knowledgeable bartender.  Once you have your flavor profile or brew style, these guys can open your mind to an entire world of beer that does not include anything from those lame conglomerate beverage and brewing companies. And sometimes, they even use these big glasses – they aren’t my fav, as they are plastic, but they are ginormous.

While they are quite spectacular for beer choices, the food is simply decent bar food.  Lots of fried things without a ton of originality.  But, shoot, what goes better with football, then fries, tots, nachos, or chicken tenders.  I am a fan of the chicken tenders with honey mustard or bbq sauce and the waffle fries.
